You can update your beneficiaries by logging into your account on a computer or mobile device.
On the member dashboard, click on the Profile drop-down menu with your name in the top-right corner and scroll down to "Update my personal information". Then select "Beneficiaries".
The page will list any accounts included in your plan. Select "Add new" to designate a beneficiary.
You will be asked to provide the name, relationship, date of birth and an allocation for each beneficiary:
You can add multiple beneficiaries for each account, so long as the total adds up to 100%.
Once submitted, your beneficiaries page will be updated and can be viewed, and edited at any time.
Adding multiple beneficiaries
To add multiple or contingent beneficiaries, please complete the form attached to this support article. Once filled out, scan and email the form to support@commonwealthretirement.com. You can also submit the form by clicking the "Submit Request" button at the top of this page or discuss your options directly with one of our agents via live chat.
If you want to designate any beneficiaries as "contingent," ensure you mark them as such by writing "contingent" next to their details on the form.
