What does DPSP vesting mean?

Vesting gives you ownership of employer contributions.  Employer contributions to an RRSP are automatically vested. A DPSP can have a maximum vesting period of two years from your plan enrollment date. If you terminate your employment before you vest in the plan, you will forfeit the DPSP, and the account value will go back to your employer.
