Employee Template: Tax Season RRSP Reminder

With the RRSP deadline around the corner, this is a perfect time to remind your employees about their retirement benefits. Below are two templates that you can customize and send to your team by email, text, or instant message.

Template 1 - Retirement Plan Reminder (send in early February).

Subject line: Top up your Common Wealth RRSP by March 2nd, 2026

Hi team,

As part of our commitment to your financial wellness, we're sharing a reminder that this is a great time to top up your RRSP contributions in your Common Wealth retirement plan. The deadline to contribute to your plan for a tax deduction is March 2nd, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

You can sign in on your mobile device or computer and select 'Add funds'.

For those who have not joined our retirement plan, it's not too late. A key benefit of your workplace RRSP is that fees are significantly lower than what a bank charges. That means more money in your pocket compared to a typical RRSP.

All monthly contributions are taken right from your paycheque. Even if you only save a small amount each month, by joining the plan now, you ensure access to a low-fee plan for life.

This is a final reminder to make any RRSP contributions through your Common Wealth plan before March 2nd, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

You can sign in on your mobile device or computer and select 'Add funds'.

To join the plan, create your account on a computer, using your work email address. It only takes about 10 minutes.
